The Lakefront Reserve（湖畔保養地）はその名の通り、ロトルア湖の景色を堪能するのに最適な位置にあります。この保養地は、ライコランドクイーン号、ジェットボート、風光明媚なヘリコプターフライトを含む多くの主要アクティビティオペレーターに近いです。
この保養地自体は、3つの異なるセクションに分かれています−ビレッジグリーン（Memorial Drive、Whakaue Street、Tutanekai Streetの間に位置）、サウンドシェル（Lake Roadとロトルア湖の間に位置）、1958年にオープンしたウォーメモリアルパーク。8ヘクタールをカバーするこの土地は、ナティ・ファカウエ部族から寄贈されました。
2021年から、40百万ドルの再開発が行われ、さらに多くの訪問者や地元の人々がこの地域を楽しむために改良されています。整備された庭園、遊び場、駐車場、新しい市内サイクルウェイ接続などが特徴で、この地域を一新しました。
