Description
Begin your journey from Auckland, traveling south through the Waikato region, known for its expansive farmland, rivers, and mountains. Along the way, stop for a coffee break at a scenic location before continuing to Rotorua.
On arrival, take a guided driving tour of Rotorua to see attractions such as Lake Rotorua, Rotorua Museum, Government Gardens, Whangapipiro (Rachel Spring), and the Blue Baths. Then, spend around 90 minutes exploring Wai-O-Tapu’s vibrant geothermal landscape, including the iconic Champagne Pool and bubbling mud pools.
After lunch, visit Whakarewarewa Forest for a walk on the elevated canopy trail among the towering Californian redwoods. The tour concludes with a fully guided return to Auckland, including surprise stops along the way.
