Tour Description
The tour begins with hotel pickup from SkyCity Hotel, 72 Victoria Street West, Auckland CBD, between 5:45 AM and 6:00 AM. Be ready at least 10 minutes early. After a two-hour scenic drive through the Waikato region, enjoy a 15-minute stop in Tirau for refreshments and photos.
Next, travel one hour to Rotorua where you will board Hell's Gate shuttle bus at iSite Rotorua at 9:50 AM. Experience the geothermal features of Hell's Gate Geothermal Park at your own pace, including mud pools, steaming vents, and sulphur lakes. The mud bath and sulphur spa experience is limited to 20 minutes for safety. Lunch is available on site before the shuttle departs at 1:30 PM.
Return to iSite Rotorua for a one-hour driving highlights tour of the city. This includes picking up and dropping off other guests and checking in visitors to Rotorua hotels.
On the return journey, stop by the Waikato River for scenic views and a break to stretch your legs. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your Auckland CBD hotel around 6:00 PM.
