Pass by hectares of kiwifruit orchards, small kiwi towns, and beautiful lakes and waterfalls as you drive to the nearby town of Rotorua. See and learn about the real New Zealand as you explore the hinterland in a small group. Take time to explore this dramatic and beautiful park, and witness the famous Lady Knox Geyser, shooting more than 10 meters in the air. We take you to see the most spectacular of the bubbling mud pools that only locals know about, on our way back to Rotorua. Next, visit the awe-inspiring Redwood Forest. Take a walk together and experience the cool and calm created by this unique ecosystem. Be astounded by the size of the trees and enjoy being at one with nature in this stunning area. Then, choose between two options: 1. Get up into the trees by choosing to do the Canopy Treetop Walk. Traverse the swing bridges and walkways high in the forest, and learn more about this unique ecosystem. This is an outstanding activity, and one of our absolute favorites in the region. 2. For those not so keen on heights, take time out and rest those legs in a private forest spa, complete with drinks on tap. What a way to wind up your day in nature! Make your way back to Tauranga in plenty of time for the ship, passing by farms and lakes as you travel.
