Discover White Island, an active volcano, on a full-day tour from Whakatane. Whakaari, or White Island, is one of the world’s most accessible live volcanoes. Disembark directly into the crater complex for a guided tour of the inner crater. Enjoy informative commentary on the geology of the island. • During the summer months, you may want to bring swimwear. If sea conditions permit, and at the discretion of the skipper, there may be an opportunity to swim off the boat after the island tour.
• If you require the shuttle service from Rotorua, bookings are essential as spaces are limited. A minimum of two passengers is required for the shuttle service to operate. If you are booking for one person, you will be informed one night prior to the tour as to whether the shuttle will operate.
