Depart Rotorua in the morning and travel through lush farmland to Waitomo. Located approximately 2-hours drive from Rotorua. Discovered in 1887, the caves are now one of New Zealand's most famous natural wonders. See vaulted caverns plus stalactites and stalagmites. Conclude your tour with a short and magical boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto, a subterranean cavern illuminated by the lights of thousands of tiny glowworms.
