Description
The Original Canopy Tour is Rotorua’s most awarded zipline experience, featuring six ziplines with speeds up to 50km/h and platforms up to 22 metres high. This guided 2.5-hour adventure takes you deep into one of New Zealand’s untouched native forests—an ecosystem bursting with life and accessible only via this tour.
You will fly through the forest canopy on a series of ziplines that increase in confidence, height, and speed, with the longest line reaching 220 metres. Between the ziplines, cross suspended swing bridges, walk forest trails, and stand among native trees over 1000 years old.
This experience combines adventure with conservation. Your visit supports an award-winning restoration project that has revived this prehistoric forest and increased native wildlife populations. Expect close encounters with native birds such as North Island robins, fantails, tomtits, and kererū, some of which may feed from your hand.
The tour is led by two expert guides who manage safety and equipment while sharing insightful stories to enrich your experience. Group sizes are kept small for a relaxed pace and personal attention throughout.
