River Rats leads rafting and kayaking trips throughout the Rotorua area ranging from beginner expeditions to serious rafting for adventure seekers.
The rafting takes place on one of several rivers in the scenic surroundings of Rotorua with trips ranging from gentle grade 2 levels suitable for families to a grade five adventure that includes the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world.
Each trip is led by at least one guide per raft who are well trained and experienced in the rivers as well as holding a wealth of knowledge about the area and being able to share a few stories along the way.
All equipment is provided and rafters are given a lesson in paddling and how to behave in the raft before setting off.
