Taupo Museum displays concentrate on the district`s unique local stories and historical themes. The much loved art gallery, with its changing exhibitions, and Ora Garden create a fascinating visit.
If you happen to be in Taupo on a Sunday, you can take part in a guided walk of this picturesque that's bounded by the lake and the Waikato River. The guided walks depart every Sunday at 2pm from the Taupo Museum. The walk usually takes an hour and gives you a chance to see historical sites and local points of interest.
