The 2–2.5 hour trips also give guests the opportunity to admire Kaikōura’s natural beauty from the water. New Zealand fur seals live in several colonies around the peninsula and can often be seen sunning themselves on the rocks along the coast. They regularly enter the water to cool down, giving Seal Swim Kaikōura’s guests the chance to swim with them.
Seal Swim Kaikōura is licensed by the New Zealand Department of Conservation. Tours normally depart twice daily during the summer months.
