Bon Appetit Cafe & Pizzeria is a bit of an institution in Rotorua. Situated out on Old Taupo Road in the west of the city, diners can look forward to Mediterranean-themed delights such as plenty of pizzas, fresh salads, some very sinful pasta dishes, and a famous breakfast/brunch. The savoury selection is extensive, including quiches, tarts and flans. Sweet lovers will love the cream and jam doughnuts, eclairs and muffins.

A lovely rustic, no-fuss interior adds to the local atmosphere, with live music some nights (check when booking) and a real community feel. Try a home-cooked bacon & mushroom risotto, or a shrimp & smoked salmon pizza. Calzones are new to the menu, and have become an instant hit.
