Dedicated Rotorua Steakhouses are a bit thin on the ground, but you can get some sumptuous carnivorous feasts at most restaurants in the city. Steaks, burgers, platters, just hunt around and you'll find something to satisfy.
Steakhouses in Rotorua aren't in plentiful supply. Head to the middle of Tutanekai Street to find a couple of well-known steak names. Also stop by the cafes on the same street, for some pit-stop burgers and mini-steak platters. Perusing the menus at most of the larger hotels, will also uncover a wealth of meaty options. Rotorua's pubs have great meal + drink deals on steaks and beer. For something upmarket, go to Eruera Street, for some fine dining beef, lamb and pork steaks. Obviously, you'll pay a bit more, but you can't put a price on a decent fillet. Most meat you find here will be locally reared, and tip-top fresh, so you have to try a steak at least once while you're here.
