Experience a guided trek on the unique landscape and history of Mt Tarawera.  Infamous for its eruption on June 10th, 1886, Mt Tarawera created the world’s youngest geothermal valley of Waimangu, at the same destroying the legendary Pink and White Terraces. 

The fully guided walking adventure encompasses the unique landscape and history of the area.  With 360 panoramic views this experience is ideal for all ages and includes an optional run into the heart of the volcanic crater.

Courtesy transport is included from all accommodation in Rotorua and from the Rotorua Information Centre.   Minimum Age is 7.

Opening Hours:

Monday - Sunday: 8:15am and 1:15pm in summer.  10:15am in winter.
