The Waitangi Soda Springs are geothermal pools set in natural surroundings and widely used for their 'healing properties'. Situated in a secluded area near Lake Rotoiti, Rotoma and Rotoehu, the hot pools are just 35 minutes drive from the centre of Rotorua.
For hundreds of years, the pools have been an important part of Maori culture, renowned for their ability to alleviate joint problems, arthritis and other health problems.
Visitors can enjoy the relaxing and soothing properties of the hot pools that remain an active part of Maori life.
