Hamurana Springs

Rotorua Central, Rotorua

Originally a tribal settlement,  Hamurana Springs is a beautiful place to enjoy a walk by the crystal clear waters and stunning redwood grove.

Popular during the birth of tourism in Rotorua in the late 1800's, entrepreneurial iwi members would take tourist through the springs on gondolas sharing stories and the healing waters.  Today, it's an untouched nature park and wildlife refuge, which make Hamurana Springs a truly magical experience.

Entry is from the golf course which resides next door.  The main walk takes around 30 minutes with a number of information panels and viewing platforms to enjoy the stunning views.
