Volunteers have transformed a former quarry into a beautiful garden with panoramic views over the Bay of Plenty and plenty of are and natural features to enjoy. The park includes ponds, a natural amphitheatre, stone sculptures created by local artists and diverse fauna to enjoy.
Walking tracks lead you around the beauty of the park and appreciate the work of the volunteers. Te Puna Quarry Park is now a popular spot for concerts, weddings and art exhibitions. Several regular events are also held here during the year.
A peaceful and quiet haven, where all ages can enjoy the setting and the art on display. Printed maps showing all walking tracks in the park are also available at the Information Kiosk at the entrance of the park.
Open every day with the gates closing at dusk but there is still pedestrian access.
Admission is free although donations are appreciated by the volunteer group.
